Hello there. Sometimes life gets ahead of where we expect to go. Family, friends, commitments, company, travel - they all demand our time and focus. While these commitments may take away from writing time, they also lend to the creation of new ideas and inspiration.
While I have had all these distractions in the last few months, one of the most enjoyable has been the addition of our new family member - a standard poodle puppy. He is a delight - loving, energetic and mischievous. Although we had no aspirations to show him, we did last weekend and he was very successful. Our handler (I have no ability or expertise in this area) will be taking him to Regina this coming weekend for his second showing. At just over six months, he seems to handle it all well but I miss him. On Monday, we'll bring him home and decide whether we will do any more with him or just let him be a puppy. I love this little guy, but have recognized how he needs lots of both physical and mental stimulation.
There is also some exciting news with respect to "Open Spaces Open Hearts". I've been invited to do a book signing in Arizona in November, and am doing an author's talk in Cochrane, AB. in October. Also, my book will soon be available in both the Calgary and Marigold library systems.
Another development is that I am working on my next book - a nonfiction. I'll let you know more about that soon. Enjoy your day.
